Dr. Ahmad El Kashef

currently holds the position of head of research at the NRC. He has an outstanding record of achievement included but not limited to his research but extends to assume the clinical trials at the prestigious National Institute of Drug Addiction (NIDA) in the United States. He is a fellow of the American Board of addition Medicine and additional is a fellow in Psychiatry and Neurology from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He completed his internship and specialization in Psychiatry in South Carolina and Maryland Universities in 1990. Then, he acquired the fellowship in Psychiatry and Neuroscience from the National Institute of Mental Health in 1992 and became a senior fellow of the same institute. In 1997, he joined the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), Maryland, USA where he was in charge of the clinical trials in Drug Development until 2010. He holds the position of Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Medicine in George Washington University. His Psychopharmacology researches and publications concentrate on the psychological effects of drugs and medicines prescribed for addiction, neurobiology, and mental diseases.
